Tasha had chosen the "Ahoy its a boy!" theme practically the moment she found out she was pregnant with her third child! Which thankfully this super addicting website you may have heard of it...lol Pinterest has so many different ideas, for that theme! I figured since we were making Pinterest ideas come to life I would use this as my Pinterest Challenge project! And I think we absolutely nailed it!
Then Friday was the day we finished all of the stuff! We made the anchor candy molds, cupcakes ( I had pre-made the toppers), wrapped the forks, blew up balloons, got all of the games ready, and cut the table cloths for the tables!
We wrapped the forks in red and blue striped napkins and tied a lifesaver mint on a piece of jute rope. They were just so cute!
This mum was purchased at a local grocery store HEB but it was only with the blue ribbon, Of course it didnt really match the theme, so I went and added all of the red ribbon along with the anchor ribbon I think it turned out great. And it matched the shower!
Then Saturday I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off! I still didnt have anything to wear so I stopped at Old Navy to see if I could find a dress and I did AND it was 30% off! Cue the happy dance! Then I got to Tasha's mother in laws at around 11:45 that left me 2 hours to get everything set up and get dressed! Thank God Alissa was there too because I couldn't have done it without her. We make a great team! How cute is the gift table?! I love the anchor banner we made, it just looks so adorable. And the balloons with the streamers were perfect with the theme!
We had seen a sailboat table on Pinterest with a fabric table cloth so we put a little spin on it, using normal plastic table cloth and cut the shape out, we also bought Styrofoam circles and hot glued red ribbon to look like lifesavers they were so cute!
On the top picture we hadn't hung the paper tissue pom poms, but in this picture below you can them hanging behind Tasha, we glued an anchor in front of them to go with the theme.
Tasha's mom made these adorable cookies with anchor and whale cutouts! I loved them! And I think everyone else did too!
Everything turned out so perfectly! The games were so fun! We played 7 different games and everyone got so into them! It was pretty entertaining! I really enjoyed "hosting" the shower. I love planning parties and designing the decor!
This was the gift we got her (Alissa & I) my mom made the diaper cake for me! We bought all of the items and my mom went to town! Lets see if I can remember everything in the cake...5 onesies, 2 blankets, 2 packs of diapers, a box of wipes, 16 little washcloths, a box of qtips, johnson wipes, 2 shampoo bottles, bottle of baby lotion, baby powder, and a bottle of baby wash..phew! We also got her an anchor charm from James Avery :')
And that was my weekend re-cap! I hope your weekend was as busy and fun as mine to whoever is reading this!
Much love, Annette!
